FRIDAY 22 / SATURDAY 23 / SUNDAY 24 AUGUST – (LOST TOY STORY) – MAIN STREET OF HURSTVILLE – FREE FESTIVAL – 6PM SHARP – 7:30PM
This three day festival will turn the streets of Hurstville into an outdoor festival of live theatre, dance floors and installations showcasing more than 100 young artists.
The festival spans 12 locations featuring 24 original works, including a six metre giant night-light teddy bear, hip hop songs about stuffed killer whales, a glow in the dark octopus, plus street sculpture, roving performance and much, much more.
Meem has been working with the young people at Shopfront to help them produce new original music, all of which will be available on CD with every festival program, and also heard throughout the festival. Meem has also been involved in creating an interactive dancefloor, in which the audience will be able to trigger sound and video by simply walking onto the dance floor. Dance and make your own song!
